WHY STUDIO

Andri Orthodoxou
Co-Founder Lead Architect
Andri is an architect with extensive experience working on complex projects across the UK and internationally. Her professional journey spans from designing high-rise towers in the heart of London to contributing to the largest infrastructure project in the United Kingdom, where she has combined design creativity with technical precision and strong project coordination skills. She has also worked on high-end residential projects in Dubai and the Middle East, designing luxury villas and private developments that balance refined materiality, spatial elegance, and tailored client experience.

During her studies, Andri’s architectural vision and creative ambition were recognised at the highest level. She earned two nominations for the RIBA President’s Medals, one for the Bronze and one for the Silver, placing her among the most promising young architects in the UK. She also received the George Simpson Award for the best postgraduate project at the University of Edinburgh. These distinctions reflect her ability to challenge conventional thinking, articulate bold ideas, and deliver design work that is conceptually rich, beautifully crafted, and deeply connected to place and humanity.
After several years working on large-scale architectural developments, Andri founded her own practice with the desire to make a change from the repetitive and soulless architecture that dominates much of today’s built environment. She believes that architecture should embody authentic expression and emotional depth, shaping light, space, and material into experiences that feel alive, distinctive, and touched with a hint of creative madness.
Her work focuses on creating thoughtful, sustainable, and human-centered environments that connect people, place, and purpose. Guided by curiosity and driven by purpose, Andri approaches each project as an exploration a chance to challenge conventions and craft architecture that resonates both emotionally and functionally.
